Things are rolling right along, so fast in fact that I cannot believe it is less than 5 weeks before I will be a married man. It is my personal opinion that God intends for man only to be married once – the stress of wedding preparations for both parties is enough for one time around!

I’ve been working full-time at Campus Book Mart in Starkville since the first part of April. Time is flying by. Ellen and I are finding out more and more about each other as the day goes by, and to be honest, my love for her has done nothing but grown since I asked her to marry me in October.

You are looking at a new template I converted the site to in my spare time. It is far from perfect, but I am working on it.

Thanks to everyone who attended Ellen’s shower, and to all of those who have and continue to bring gifts to us. It is unbelievable to think I could even receive a gift! I can’t say it enough – Thank You! I know the economy isn’t the greatest right now, and the fact that you would still give makes me feel like a humbled man.

Mr. Easley and I completed the railings for his house a few weeks ago. After several months of work, they are finally up – and they look awesome.

I intend on posting more pictures (hopefully) as the day draws nearer. Those of you who have tried to post in the Guestbook, you may now do so. There was a problem earlier that would not allow you to post comments. That is fixed, now.

I am also attempting to get as in-shape as possible before the wedding. So far, so-so. It’s time to GET-R-DUN!

I cannot believe that our wedding is 15 weeks from today! Time is just flying by!

Wedding plans are going well. I had no idea how many decisions went into the big day, but each one is a joy to make. I got my wedding dress back in January, then began to search for the bridesmaid’s dresses. I found a dress that I absolutely love for them in red and I think it looks just beautiful on each and every one of the girls! Right now, my closet looks sort of like a dress store with 7 red dresses hanging in it!

Since the color of our wedding has been chosen (red), mom and I have begun to collect red things to decorate at the reception. Our dining room is beginning to fill with wedding stuff as we get bows made, ring bearer pillows sown,  centerpieces created, and ring bearer/flower girl benches made.

Our home is also under construction, getting ready for the big day. The painters have put a fresh coat of paint on the house, we’re waiting on the shutters dad made to be finished painting, Ryan has come to help my dad get the banisters completed, the landscaping people have been waiting for this beautiful weather to begin their work, and mom has been deciding where pictures should be hung. It is so special to me for so many people to be working so hard towards the big day.

I had such fun choosing colors, dishes, bakeware, sheets, etc for our new home when mom and I went to register. We will be living in an apartment in Aiken Village on the campus of Mississippi State University. We will be in the married student housing section over the next few years while Ryan completes his degree at MSU. I look forward to getting our little home fixed up in June!

I will continue to keep the website updated with plans and details as they become available. Thanks to everyone for your comments in the guestbook! It is so special to have such a wonderful group of friends! God has truly blessed us!
